What Is Alista
Intent to action, with less friction.
Too many apps, far from each other…
Everybody has a device with multitude of applications. Each serving its purpose, but shattered across Android environment. Many of the functionalities far from each other, uncentralized and disconnected. When you want to do some action, the ways to each of them are numerous and long.
…brought closer by Alista.
Alista Assistant is an Android app that solves the issue - brings you closer to what you want to do. Shortening the way there, and offering an environment to have access to everything from one unified place.
How to use
Use however you wish, with the structure in mind
Alista offers an open space. Customizable, enabling quick and reliable access to desired actions.
The structure is designed to cover all the possible actions you may want to do with your device. Use it to your advantage. Control your device with ease.
You can set it up as a launcher. Meaning you won’t need to open the app, and just tap the home button instead.
Six action types. One AI persona
The six main actions you may want to do.
Communication - contacting anyone via email, call, or a message. Social networks. Anything that screams: “People!”
Search - when looking for something. A product, an information, a place. When you look for something, you search.
Event - planning your day, or week, or month with a calendar, as well as staying productive. That’s the spot.
Media - the place where you go for music, movies, videos, and games. To make the category short and fun.
Banking - to keep everything regarding money in one place. You keep your banking and wallet apps here, as well as services you get with your money.
Tools - a meta section for configuring Alista, finding out information about her, and the phone settings.
And finally…
Alista - chat with the Assistant, where you can ask for basic and not-so-basic knowledge. Where you can ask for event creation, summarization, and more. She’s to be helpful and friendly.
Seven quick actions. Notification center and a notepad
There are seven magical quick actions, staying true to the phone's true purpose.
Dialer - to quickly call the people you care about.
Flashlight - to bring light into darkness.
Camera - to capture life’s precious moments.
Discovery - to Google quickly, including QR.
Calculator - to outsource your math.
Internet settings - to go offline and back online swiftly.
Alarm - to never miss anything.
With the notification center at Alista’s core, you never miss an important thing. Categorized into missed calls, unread messages and emails, and the other stuff. With preview, you can decide on the spot what you care about, and what you don’t.
And the notepad. It serves a single purpose. To just drop a thought fast. No nonsense, just a big text box for dumping stuff you don’t want to forget.
Functions of AI to simplify even further
The Assistant chatbot can do some useful things that you don’t really want to set up, but want to have set up. You can type to ask for it, or just ask her in the language of your device. Things like…
Create a calendar event - when permitted and asked, she will create an event for you, so you never forget - ever.
Summarize calendar events - when permitted and asked, she will tell you what you have planned in the upcoming days.
Remind you of something - should you need to do something in a few minutes or so, an action, she will tell you.
Make a note - in your notepad, she can add anything you ask of her. Nothing gets lost.
Set an alarm - should you feel really lazy, you can just tell her when you want your alarm to be set. Beware of AM and PM.
Additionally, every morning after six in the morning, she will remind you of any of the calendar events you have set for the day.
All this is helpful - you don’t have to set those things yourself, while having the advantage of having it set. Play around with it. The age of only talking to your phone is about to start.
Everything reachable right at your fingertips
With the whole speed and accessibility concept, Alista wants to be used with one hand, one finger, all the way down.
Fast... Frictionless... Focused…
Developer note
Hey Everyone!
I wanted to make an app for myself that would let me use my phone more effectively, while still having its utility. So I did.
But to have this kind of tool just for myself… Felt wrong, so there you go. Enjoy the thing too - it works. I use it every day.
I sincerely hope you enjoy it and that it lets you focus more on the real world.
The only monetization is as cheap as possible subscription, which offers more power and even less friction for you.
